THE CHARIOT AND JUSTICE


THE CHARIOT (1st house): is self-assertion and the personality.

JUSTICE (7th house: is partnership, communal relations, public obligations, business partnerships, sociability, open enemies.

The Chariot and Justice suggest the tension between our desire to assert ourselves and our obligations and duties to others. Our right to express our individual character or personality and our need to maintain peace and harmony with those around us.

THE HERMIT [Saturn]: is discipline, authority, responsibilities, duties. Learning things the hard way, fear, control and denial.

The Hermit (Saturn) is discipline, authority, responsibilities, duties, learning things the hard way, fear, control and self denial. The Wheel of Fortune (Uranus) is our urge to rebel and shock, our urge to be free and independent, radical or sudden change, revolution and deviation from the norm, liberation, sudden awakening and freedom in truth.

Combined they suggest cautious reform. Fear of change. Breaking with tradition, or with authority. Unexpected breaks. Rebels in control. The limitation of freedom.

Physiologically this pairing suggests sudden accident tears or breaks (Fortune) to hard tissue such as the bones, teeth, joints and skin (Hermit). There can be sudden (Fortune) skin eruptions (Hermit), usually caused by shock (Fortune).  Sudden (Fortune) loss (Hermit). In extreme cases these cards can suggest amputation.
